Back in the Game March 11, 2008

Well I’m glad to report that even though I was a sloth at the end of last week, I’m back in the game. I went for a 17.5 mile ride on Saturday morning and then walked all around the mall searching for new shoes and undies. And dude, shopping totally burns calories! How else do you explain the general sense of fatigue and dislike of people that one gets from trying to shop at San Francisco’s most popular mall on a bright, sunny Saturday? It’s definitely not the fact that people are generally stupid and get in your way and annoy you and make you tired and angry. It’s definitely all that calorie burning.

Anyhoo, I spent yesterday walking around at the dog park being mosquito fodder. Then I rode my bike down to get dinner and go see a show and then rode home. I swam 2000 meters today and did the following set:

300 Free warm up

100 back

100 breast

5 x 200 Alternating between 200 free, 200 IM

200 back swim

100 breast swim

100 kick (I mixed it up)

100 warm down

Woo hoo! I think I even got a bit of a tan. Next up here on We Be Training, I’m going to take a picture of my bike and talk about gear. I don’t know very much about biking gear but I’m all knowledgable and stuff about swim gear. I’ll tell you what I like so you can buy me motivational presents if you so choose.
